One of our favorite streets in Barcelona is Enric Granados; we love it for its food offer, the trendy people, slow feeling and its proximity to the city center (which is very convenient!).
Enric Granados is our usual choice to grab a bite before or after some movies with friends, also on Saturdays before going to run some errands during the afternoon (although our latest obsession is a yummiest ramen place, we must make a post on that!) and even on those Sundays with my mom.
Last Saturday, just when the sun made its appearance, my stomach demanded a burger and a chai latte. I know the connection is not that obvious but I have a peculiar way to pair food :) So I proposed going to one of our favorite burgers in town, El Filete ruso, and then hit a fav cafe called Cosmo for the latte. Dani, the guy that can’t say no to a burger, was very pleased to accept ;)
I realized we have never showed you before how Enric Granados street looks like, so that was the perfect excuse to get the camera, seize the sun and plan a fun photo session. If you come to Barcelona we recommend stopping by the street the minute your stomach starts growling, you won’t be disappointed. Ah! and a bonus, several places here serve non-stop food.
Hope you enjoy the walk, the shy early-spring sun and some burgers!
Only a shirt and no coat, I’m happy! A little confesssion I had a warm t-shirt underneath :)
I got this shirt from Kling’s sale rack; I like its minimalistic beauty with the two small cherries. I added the detachable red bow using some leftover ribbon from my crafts’ box.
Oh! the sun!
This is how most of the street looks like, with trees and café/restaurant terraces.
These are my wedding shoes! I rarely wear them because I’m afraid to wore them out.
How nice it is to just stop on a bench for a little while, it’s all about those small pleasures.
This is the door of El Filete ruso burger place, don’t miss it!
The place is quite small with tall tables and stools.
Burger! Not bad, right? We both chose the same one, an Iberico ham with truffle oil and cheese. Oh! and bravas as a side, bravas are a must in our diet ;)
I’ve only been in Spain once, it was a trip from somewhere near the Cote d’Azur of France to visit Barcelona in a day, I think I was 10 years old at the time. Even though I’ve only seen Gaudi-related things the city still holds precious memories and I can’t wait to go visit the city properly one day and go to Enric Granados and relax on a bench and go eat burgers afterwards (that look damn tasty by the way!!). Wonderful!!
If you were at Gaudi houses that was a beautiful visit of the city! We love all Gaudi places as well. Next time you come here make sure to give us a call and we’ll have a latte at Enric Granados together! :)
Ah your shirt is super cute and that burger looks to die for oh … you have me craving a chai latte now :P One day I definitely have to visit Barcelona – it looks magical!
I could drink a latte mug every hour, hahaha just kidding but it is one of my favorite drinks for cold weather. You MUST ;p come to visit us!
oh i would love to go to barcelona one day. so beautiful. and i do love your button down shirt and the red tie you added! so cute!
Thanks Jane! Oh the idea of having the three of you (or keeping more our feet on the ground, you two ;p) here is awesome :)
Well, that burger looks like it should get in my tummy right this instant! The street looks absolutely lovely.. I’ve never been to Barcelona, but it’s on my (never ending) to visit list. I’ve only been to Spain once, with my parents to.. err.. idk, one of those regular touristy places at the beach. Anyway, I want to go back!
Hahaha too many touristy beach towns here :) If you ever plan to come to Barcelona we have lots of delicious places to visit, don’t forget to ping us! :)
Ohh, unfortunately I didn’t know where there was, when we went to Barcelona. It seems sooo my cup of tea :) And your cherries !!! who cute they are <33
I think you would love Enric Granados and all the places there, next time you come to Barcelona we surely will eat a burger together there ;)
A burger with bravas!? Oh man you are making me hungry.
I love to pair burgers and bravas in a meal, bravas are really good in Barcelona (we are lucky!). I could also use a plate of bravas right now (I’m hungry!), if only my workmates would not think it weird :P
you look so happy and there is a wonderful Spring feeling to this post :)
