The trees next to our home bloomed a week ago. Check them out with us!
Thanks to a website where you can search for information about trees in a precise location from Barcelona (pretty interesting, right?), I learnt that they are purple-leaf plum trees. From these last years I’ve experienced that plum trees experiment three phases, most of the time they are dry, during Spring and some part of Summer they have dark red leaves, which is quite nice when the sun touches them, but look black in the shadow, and finally their bloom with the gorgeous pink-ish flowers. This last phase is beautiful (not saying anything quite clever here), I love to see the flowers from our balcony when I wake up in the morning or while walking the streets to go back home. However, it only lasts a few weeks, so this time we were sure to keep a memory of them by taking a couple pictures with them, and yes… with a couple I mean tons, of course, but don’t y’all worry, we have a small selection to share so you don’t need to scroll down to infinite *wink*

This last weekend we had a peek in our temperatures that allowed me to wear the first spring clothes of the season (yay!) without suffering for the pictures (wise yay!). Later on I added a cardigan, and that was enough for the complete day. With the new season I’m finally excited again to try new outfit combos, I am in a rut with the winter clothing leaving me quite bored every morning before starting to get dressed. I know that the good weather is not here for a nice reason, quite the contrary, so I try to focus on that to not be too happy about it, but to be honest I’m also looking forward to be able to wear more dresses & fresher looks soon. What are your feelings?
Do you have plum trees near your home? Or cherry, almond or anything with cute pink-white flowers? Well, I guess I don’t live at cherry tree lane, but I could change the name of my street to plum tree lane and that wouldn’t sound too bad at all!
omg I love the idea of a tree database! So wholesome :’) // The weather in my city is warming up the slightest bit, and I’m personally happy that I don’t have to wear the same puffer jacket every day anymore! I think it’s still a bit cold for blooms in my city, but I’m looking forward to them :) Thanks for sending these warm vibes to us! Love the colour of your pants :) -Audrey | Brunch at Audrey’s
eep, plum tree lane, totally suits you guys! I really wanted to say how amazing your outfit is, you have such a fun way with how you play with colours and styles, very inspirational! When you northern hemisphere peeps talk about wishing your season would come to an end, I get sad to say goodbye to our warm weather, tee hee! I should start thinking about the pros to the cold – extra blankets on the bed and more chance of two cats appearing on it as well :)
Gosh, these photos remind me of when I went to Japan and I miss seeing blossoms so much! We don’t have any (to my knowledge anyway) of any plum trees nearby and it makes me so upset as they are my favourite flower… These photos are lovely, by the way!
