This last week we received the most amazing visit. It was dark at night when something hit our window glass, as usual we were watching the tv – we are currently almost only into geek comedy shows, big bang theory & silicon valley, alas…summer! – but Juno, who is always more at the watch out for flying creatures couldn’t help but staring at the window without any eye blink: here they were, Cat girl and Bat boy themselves, looking for a new home to stay! Of course we welcomed them with open arms.
Mmm…well, maybe the story started with a mailman and an envelope instead, but that would be another more regular story and these two guys deserve only the best of adventures.
Most of you already know our love for Fiona and her artwork (& pics) at Burntfeather. It kind of started very long ago, but thanks to this awesome blogging community we are now able to count her as a buddy, which is a blow-my-mind thought. I seize now to thank every blog pal and every one of you reading this blog, we feel warm wrapped with every comment, every new following and each visit.
Fiona is a very talented illustrator that lives in Queensland (Australia), she is sweet, quirky and fun, and I think all of these qualities are reflected in her drawings. Cat girl and Bat boy are both prints from her pen and ink original, and precisely those traces and the ink were one of the first things I cherished when seeing them “alive” which were not as noticeable virtually.
As soon as the two crusaders decided that they were going to establish their secret headquarters at our home, we had to made the proper introduction with the ruling queen, aka the tiniest & stubbornest furry thing called Juno. She sniffed their black wings for a little while and finally gave her consent, lucky!
I’m planning on buying two white frames but colorful mats for them, we will add them in our bedroom on top of the console. Any thoughts on how I should frame them? (Here you can peek our console and -almost- current state of our bedroom).
If you are like us and wish to convert your home into a batcave (yay!) go ahead and grab your prints at Burntfeather’s esty store!
Awwwesooome illustrations from Fiona c:

these are fab. I love Fee’s work. I gotta get me some of her prints too :)
They are awesome! :) Have you also seen her commissioned work? I was surfing her shop for a while and found a couple of them, they are good!
Yay!! such a lovely post – my cheeks got a little red reading it but in the best way possible :) Thanks for being my blog buddies and I glad Juno approved!! (sweetest pictures)
Juno is the toughest critic but she had to agree with us that the two new colleagues are the best she could ask for ;) Thanks Fee for your sweetness!
I love those illustrations. Fee’s work is so lovely.
I know, it is hard deciding between the two guys, so I’m ver happy having them both hanging around in our bedroom.
