Christmas is here!
Well, almost, 12 days to go, and our house finally is in festive mode. I have to admit that we have struggled this year to get the decorations up; we normally do it during the long weekend of the 6th of December, but, for some reason, the last weekend went by so quickly that we weren’t able to finish the decorations until two days ago. All is completed now and it is beautiful to wake up to all the lights and warm & quirky Christmas items!
Since we got our bigger tree (before we had a tiny-tiny one with tiny-tiny ornaments) we have bought one new ornament each year, and of course this year we had to follow the tradition and have added a crystal ball with Olaf and Gale. I love to have some Frozen in our tree! It’s the second Disney after Mary Poppins (she HAD to be the first one!). Our next ornament would love to be Japan related, for obvious reasons, right? :) I love to have some traditional ones like the snowmen, wooden creatures and red mushrooms, but I would love to add more things that remind me of something else too. What’s your most beloved tree ornament?
Talking about ornaments, last weekend I found my childhood tree ornaments in a store and it was such a throwback moment! They are wood classical nutcracker ornaments, and I hesitated a lot to buy them, but then they are also tiny and would not work well with our current tree and left without them. Should I anyways have bought the pack to use them for other things like presents wrapping, maybe? I am always such a hesitant buyer, Dani always makes fun of me after that!

We have our Holidays days ahead full of work, we are (again) doing our photography gig at the Festivalet winter market. This time we are not able to visit my family in Madrid, which is quite sad to be honest, but, of course also happy to be able to spend all Christmas days with Juno.
What are your plans? Are you visiting your family? What’s your favorite Christmas memory?
We just put up our tree and decorations today, nice timing to see this post :) To be honest every year we’re always a little slow to get them up but in’t it so nice to have a home in celebration! My mum was downsizing her Christmas decorations the other year so I was able to take home some childhood favourite ornaments – little wooden german angels are among my favourite! That first shot you guys took is super clever and you always decorate in the most classic gorgeous way! Very inspiring and cosy and festive!!
Love the decorations! And the tradition of buying a new Christmas ornament each year is so cute. My mum makes us ceramic ornaments every year, so the ones she made herself are the ones that are most especial to me. I have also been looking for second hand ornaments, since they are often hand painted and quite cheap!
