This Christmas we are playing it casual (very casual!) as you can see from the outfits we will be wearing tomorrow at our family Christmas dinner that we host at home. I guess we are going to dress as casual as our food that evening, ha! Our menu – spoiler to family! – for tomorrow night will start with a cheese plate that will go with some tasty bread and jams, iberico ham and sushi (spicy salmon, california roll and toro nigiri for those curious!), then I’ll cook a pumpkin soup with coconut milk and curry and the main dish is going to be a grilled salmon brochette with miso sauce. Nothing too elaborated but still special enough and that is going to be prepared with lots of love.
Although they are not super festive attires we still like them heaps and wanted to follow the tradition of sharing our Christmas outfits with all of you before the night (and the day for that matter) comes, so we ran to this roof terrace to take a few silly quick pictures. It’s quite crazy how this year the weather has created a “weird-Christmas” background, don’t get me wrong, I don’t like when it’s too cold but I also find kind of unusual to be able to be outside with a sweater without freezing.
Which are your plans for tomorrow night and the following day? Ours include food (tons, I’m afraid…), family – this time we have a new addition, Dani’s brother is bringing his girlfriend Sara and we are thrilled to introduce her to our silly rituals!- board games and movies. We are looking forward to see Big Eyes on the 25th, Tim Burton for Christmas is another of Santa’s gift – will you also be watching?
Wish you the most fun and laid back evening on Christmas night!
Oh! This is so good!! I adore your sweater and Dani’s pin. The menu of Christmas sounds absolutely lovely too! I hope you guys have a great Christmastime!! x
Thanks Louise! Hope you had a great one! Is there any traditional dish do you usually have on Christmas eve with your family?
My family and I aren’t big on celebrations, so I’m feeling quite confident that we’ll have a laid back Christmas eating tons of delicious non-Christmas foods! Loving your sweater :) -Audrey | Brunch at Audrey’s
Yay for laid back non-christmas food time! :) Hope you had the nicest one Audrey!
Awww you guys your details are so cute and Damaris that menu is crazy nothing casual about it – yum! I’ve been spending all day (it’s Christmas eve here in Australia) prepping Christmas food for tomorrow’s lunch with my family. I really like cooking so it’s been a fun day though it’s a little odd to cook lots of food and then not eat it for dinner tonight! I haven’t thought about what I’m going to wear but I did score a red cat hat from the thrift store the other day so I might have to wear that and maybe a daggy christmas tee :) I can’t wait to see Big Eyes!! weeee
Red cat hat & xmas tee sounds perfect! Is it similar to the one I have in grey? Ohhh Need to see it! :) Hope your Christmas lunch was a hit! And hope I’m able to see the menu on your blog soon :)
