This week has been rough both emotionally and physically thus publishing this post was quite a last minute decision for us, but we finally decided in favour of sharing a little about our work at The cat in love (our photography site), precisely to vindicate this last word:
Love in the broader sense: love to others, love in every thing we do, we breathe, we write, we think, how we act with others and how we treat ourselves. And what a better way to express it than to show you this universal profession of love that is a wedding?
We were lucky to follow this couple and all their family and friends in a day full of surprises. Marc and Maria had planned many activities that expressed who they were: the bride arrived in a boat because they both love the sea (and even have built with their own hands a boat to go on sailing), the groom whom belongs to a Correfoc (a Catalan tradition where a group of people dress in devil disguises with fireworks to dance in the night) got dressed in one for her bride just after the ceremony, a Batucada group played percussive samba for the guests and two friends built a human tower at the end of the wedding’s first dance. Want to take a peek to all of these? Follow us!

Thank you so much for reading this post, we really feel a lot your support with our photography gigs! Big hug! Oh! and I almost forgot, if you are ever near Barcelona and fancy a fun photoshoot, don’t hesitate to contact us, we would love meeting you!
Sorry to hear you guys had a rough go of it. I hope things are better now. And what a gorgeous couple. That dragon thing looks insane!
The dragon is incredible!! More considering that the groom was inside! The bride was watching nervously (but super happy) all the fireworks. I have great hopes for the following week, preparing our Christmas postcards while listening to Christmas carols has me excited ;)
Oh a full post – so super exciting! You guys, I’m blown away, I love how you capture your moments, I love your cropping and angles and all the emotions you get. The kids at the table gave me a big giant smirk on my face. I love that shot of the bride outside the front door, with her family (??) in front and I’m always happy to see an emotional groom – very sweet. If I was Maria and Marc I would blow up huge that b&w photo where she is pressing his cheeks – love love love that! I hope 2016 see’s many more weddings to come – everyone should hire you guys!!!
Thank you dear Fee!!! I’ve already said this like a gazillion times, but your words always warm my heart, thanks dear friend. I hope they print the picture you were talking about for their home, I think it’s such a sweet, spontaneous and happy moment to remember. Let’s cross fingers to be “invited” to more weddings this 2016 :)
These are such lovely images! You did such an amazing job of capturing the important moments :) And the wedding is beautiful as well. Sorry to hear that you had a rough week! Hope the weekend is better for you!
Thank you so much Jane! It means a lot!!! The weekend went great: recovering from last week, so pretty much indoors, but we discovered a new Peruvian restaurant. Foodie discoveries always make me happy ;)
These are incredible. The party looks great, and the snaps look really wonderful. I love the lady in red with the vintage camera, haha.
I hope you guys have a better week ahead! x
Thank you so much Louise! <3 My eyes (and my camera) always also directly go to anyone with a vintage camera ;) and being a lady in red makes it even better! Our week is much better! Weather is drastically cold (how comes we barely had Autumn this year!) and my body is slowly adjusting - thanks for hot tea though! ;) Hope yours is going great!
You two did an amazing, AMAZING job with
capturing the important and memorable details of
the wedding ^__^
And I also want to give you guys a bigbigbig
virtual hug too and I hope you guys are feeling
better already c: Xx Ice Pandora
Thank you so much Mei! I am feeling a looot your virtual hugs :) I think this weekend was healing and everything looks much brighter with Christmas around the corner. Thanks for your lovely words on our pics of Maria + Marc wedding.
