Finally, a summery post!
This summer feels completely different from other years. It's true that gradually summer has been falling behind other seasons in my appreciation, and although it was my favorite one as a kidddo (I guess school vacations had everything to do with it) my love has been transferred to autumn or spring. Still, summer is usually quite good, we always have some days off work, we spend at least a day at the amazing Costa Brava and there are yummy foods in sight, like ice-creams, lemonades and gazpacho.
This summer has been quite different. We started with all the distressing month of July with Juno health being tested after serious vomiting episodes. Beginning on August we received the excellent news that Juno tests were finally perfect, and that she was clean of any bacteria.
Just when the happy news made us feel like summer was just starting, Dani got a stomach virus, whom, of course, passed it to me in 3 days. We have been more than 2 weeks with the virus that causes a painful gastroenteritis and physical exhaustion. The doctor diagnostic was that it was a long process and that we could only take probiotics, eat mild food and let our body fight it itself. Still today I'm not recovered, but luckily Dani is feeling much much better.
Thus, you can totally understand why we haven't felt this summer at all. In order to make a little amends, we decided to visit at sunset this beach, very close to Barcelona, to walk along the shore, splash in the water, taking everything in.
How has been your summer (winter, if you are in Australia or neihborhing) so far?
What's next? Well, I really wish to totally recover soon, and I will have a few days off work at the end of this month when my nephew and auntie will be visiting. My family is always soothing and healing to me!
Blog-wise we still have some non-summery posts (ha!) to share with more of our Japan adventures, so stay tuned for the last posts in the series, we have a final surprise for all who have followed!
Oh no the stomach bug sounds awful, I hope your full recovery isn’t too far off! Your outfit on the other hand is perfection, I love your painted nails and the gold of your jewelry mirroring the hut and the sun! OH AND that beach hat – perfection! Sending you super quick recovery vibes xoxo

Glad to hear that Juno and Dani are feeling better, and hope you will be feeling better soon as well! Although autumn is my favourite season, one thing I do have to say for summer is that I’ll miss the long days and all the sunshine; sunshine makes everything feel better! // Your hat looks like so much fun to wear! -Audrey | Brunch at Audrey’s
