Good Monday! With the end of month approaching this Friday we thought we could advance a little the snapshots series edition and share our bits and odds from this kind of slow April. When writing the posts of the “As of late” series I get to remember how the month was, and don’t know why, it’s always interesting because I get to see again those “let’s take a picture of this” quick & random shots that our phones have captured but that I always, after a month full of posts and pictures to edit, tend to forget about. I really must have bad memory because we are not taking that many pictures with our phones, and we are quite lazy Instagram providers (with only a 1-2 pics per week ratio), ha!
How was your weekend? Ours flied by faster than ever with lots (looots) of catching up and the preparations of …. drumrolls please!… our 2nd blog anniversary this May! expect a giveaway (am I the perfect surprise spoiler or what?) and super gorgeous guest bloggers (sorry I can’t keep my mouth shut).
Well, no more buzz about next month I promise! and let’s see what April had in store for us!
Dani ate too much chocolate for Easter (hope he is not reading, ha!)
We have recently discovered this Udon noodles place called “Yoi Yoi Gion” and have visited it a couple of times. Their curry udon is super yummy and love the gyozas too!
Juno in her daily work: being super cute while sleeping. She is a hard worker!
We are trying to walk more back home instead of taking the bus or subway, walking past some serious graffiti.
Our friends Anna & Albert welcomed a little sister for Ranma called Akane, here she is: so little, fluffy and black beauty already!
She is also very active and loves biting electrical cords (oops) and peeking out from the sofa, hey there cutie!
On the 23th we celebrated Sant Jordi, that awesome tradition where boys gift roses and girls get a book for them in return. Only that my roses seemed more a gift for Juno than myself ;)
Oh! and yes, I also receive books, because well, I love them and would be totally unfair, y’know ;) “Eleanor & Park” and “The vacationers” are lined up for my next readings. Have you read any of them? I bought for Dani “Peter Pan” and “The double“. This year we also tried something new: we bought a book for both of us, called “I am a cat” from the Japanese writer Natsume Soseki, but we are already fighting about who goes first reading it ;)
We bought a red rose & a book for my mom, spoilt mom! (she deserves a million of them though!)
Juno with her crazy eyes after licking the roses and leaves. Doesn’t her face scream “I love roses”? For those wondering: they are still alive but although I have been watering them properly they are already starting to be in a bad shape. Remember what I told you about my green thumb? Ohmy…
How did your April look like?
Your kitties are so cute!
Thanks! Juno is a frowny cutie! :) Akane is our super cute friends’ kitten but they may let us borrow her ;)
I wish I could help you out with the roses but alas we know the colours of my thumbs are also not green :P I love that flowers/book tradition and how cute is that pic of your mum!! 2 years woozers, it feels like you were just celebrating 1 year the other day! Oh and I seriously want to steal Akane!
Thanks Fee!! I am super happy to have met you during these two years & how generous you were helping us celebrate last year! Can’t never thank you enough for your kindness! Great!!! Someone is helping me with Akane’s robbery!! ;) ;)
Oh my gosh! Ranma and Akane! I can’t get over how cute that is! Please tell me there will be a Shampoo, Mousse and Ryoga too! :D
Hahahaha, wouldn’t it be awesome? I hope Anna & Albert are taking notes here ;)
oh my, adorable pics. I love, love, love black cats :)
Thanks! Black cats have something special, don’t they?
Those little babies! Aw, I’m a sucker for black kitties. I actually just ate udon tonight at my brother-in-law’s restaurant – so so good. If you ever visit Seattle – you must try it out! :)
