Since we had special posts prepared during the month of the blog’s anniversary we couldn’t share some important dates during May like for example Juno & Dani’s birthday. We posted though three pics on our Instagram account, thanks for all the congrats there, both the cat & the boy where super happy with the lovely attention.
Juno was the earliest of the duo turning 5 (supposedly 37 in human years, a rosy gal) on the very first day of the month. We kept it low key since our little diva was not up for a big party *wink* but still made a little birthday corner for her to spend the day at. She loves when we create new places, even it’s only throwing a blanket on the floor, therefore she was glad with her new space, no matter how that balloon insisted on playing with her tail and driving her crazy, stubborn balloon!
I could title this picture as the “ugly truth behind our little beauty”, can you see Dani’s legs full of white fur? Well, that’s our house cleaning battle ;) Juno was groomed that day on her corner as well, super spoiled since she looooves grooming.
Dani turned a year older 10 days after and as we usually do we devoted a complete day off everywhere (home, internet, camera – only our phone) to do things we usually don’t have time for; this birthday was riding 17km in his new (parents gift) scooter. He already got one for his last birthday but we really missed not being able to go the two of us together. We did a complete tour to Barcelona, first by the seaside and then with a big circle (and discovering for the first time the bike rail, we are newbies with the wheels!) went back to our home.
We felt overwhelmed by the ability of this fellow scooter riders.
Our lunch stop was at Carrot café a sandwich place that felt like a piece of heaven after half of our scooter ride.
Barcelona, you’re a cutie!
Our legs were sour for days, ha! We then had a much needed refreshing shower before heading to a gastronomic experience restaurant called Disfrutar, for which we had very wise recommendations from our foodie friends. Oh! and I gifted Dani with two tickets for the next concert of Angus & Julia in Barcelona on July, we are beyond excited! (Do you know that they were one of our wedding songs? Aww, can’t wait!) and a vinyl of their last record so we know by then all the songs by heart.
Don’t be fooled by this pic that was taken when the restaurant just opened their doors, it is never empty, a two month reservation is recommended, specially for weekends.
Every bite of its 17 courses menu was a delish unforgettable experience.
I’ve been MIA for such a long time for several reasons (work, the flu, new photographic projects), and I’m slowly getting back into track with all my blog buddies. Are you feeling the same way during this Spring time? Which were your adventures during May?

Thanks!!! Oh! I think so, I can’t remember the name exactly but I once found a an etsy shop selling felt accessories like necklaces and such using leftover cat fur :) I could be a generous provider of fur! ha! ;) The kissing couple is my favorite, awww ♥ The scooter doesn’t run automatically, but when steep roads came I would have appreciate it.

oh my! so much fur! :) spootie, one of the dogs we are caring for, her parents were in barcelona a few days ago and they said it was lovely! i wish we could go one day! you live in such a beautiful part of the world!
Oh! I really hope you can come here one day :) I’m glad they found it lovely, it can be a little crowded specially during the summer period but when you get lost in its streets Barcelona can steal your heart.

HAPPY (late!) BIRTHDAY JUNO AND DANI!!! I love that you made Juno’s birthday corner and oh my gosh – so much fur, that’s insane! We brush Gremlin everyday, he sheds a bit but he really just loves being brushed :P That food all looks awesome and so well presented and I love the kissing couple and the happy Barcelona flag :) Can’t believe you guys did 17kms, definitely some tired legs the next day!
