How are you feeling?
It's already the 22nd of June and this is the first post of the month... The Virgo in me would normally freak out at this thought, but I've finally made amends with my inner demanding self and I'm now (trying to be) ok with only sharing occasionally. I think these set of pics turned quite nice and, in addition, the post-apocalyptic vibes I get from them also match well with the current worldwide covid scenario. Shall we step together into what looks as pink palace ruins?
I've always been a fan of movies set in apocalyptic worlds, those after a zombie attack, a climate disaster or any event that marked a big before & after in the (fictitious) human history. Those movies make you instantly wonder which would be your take if you were in that exact situation, while at the same time make you wish with all your heart it will never (ever!) happen to you in reality; it is only a fun hypothesis to discuss with friends. Saying we are right now in that kind of crisis is (still) an ill-fitted analogy, but we are definitely under one of the last three decades bigger tests as society and a horrible health disaster.
With the current events in mind, I couldn't help but notice that the place we had recently found in one of Barcelona's bigger parks (called Montjuïc), could perfectly be a filming set for a post-apocalyptic movie, one with a very orangey and pink palette cinematography. Doesn't it look as the ruins of what was once a grandiose palace, that had changed its fancy balls and riches for wild vines and moss covering its walls?
In fact, all the gardens were designed on 1922 by a landscape architect for the Barcelona International Exposition of 1929, but sometimes it's jut better to play a little bit with our minds, isn't it?

What is your routine lately? Have you, like us, discovered any new place near your home that otherwise might have gone unnoticed?

You’ve definitely made covid fashion super cute! The setting would be perfect for a post-apocalyptic film for sure, the pink and green jungle is amazing! I noticed when we had our highest restrictions in place, people took advantage of what was allowed. The trail I go near my home which is normally very very quiet suddenly became packed (we were encouraged in Australia to exercise close to home) and I had to find these specific windows of time or skip my daily walks. Now that restrictions have lifted I have my lovely walk back :) :) It’s a very very minor complaint in comparison to what people in the world have and are going through – I feel very lucky!
