July is here and with it our small getaway to Madrid is just around the corner! We are visiting my family a few days again this summer, this time with a rather important mission in our agenda, we are meeting the newest member (& sister of Samuel) called Akane which will be 1 month old! Isn’t her name cool? But before that, let’s see how June looked like, shall we? As usual we are posting (almost all) unpublished images that got captured by our phones.

June was a busy month! Surprise? Not really! Lately I feel I’m embracing too much in my daily endeavors, do you feel the same? Are we all trying way too hard? However, I have been able to achieve some important mini-goals, like making our spare room more useful in a not so far away future. We also got the chance to meet Dani’s new nephew that lives in Girona (do you remember this little city near Barcelona where parts of Games of Thrones season 6 has been shot?) and have some foodie dates, which, let’s be honest, it mostly happened because we neglected our fridge while our heads were somewhere else, face palm!

Girona doesn’t lack the charm, love specially the riverside with the pastel color buildings.

I was wearing for the first time my new skirt that appeared in the favorites post.

I work near these buildings, blue skies days are nice!

We bought some drawers for the new decor of the spare room, and as usual Juno was the perfect supervisor and handyman.

Juno is also in charge of the quality assurance. Verdict: this drawer is in perfect state for a nap, thus she gives it a pass, ha!

Have you seen the featured image of this post with the amazing flamingo wallpaper? This is the wow factor piece at a bruncherie called Ugot which we just discovered this month. We ate the weekend special menu, but they have the current dishes you will expect in a brunch place, plus a large selection of cakes.

More eating? yes please! This is our favorite current pizza parlor when we are in the mood for a novelty pizza. Our favorite: egg & truffle.

How did June was for you? How July is looking like? We are mostly working this summer because we have planned an autumn travel, but July is the only summer month where we are going to have some days off, and are looking forward to make the best of them!
