Postcards from Porto
Hello sweeties! Tudo bem?
Almost a month ago we visited the two most important cities in Portugal, Porto and Lisboa. We love Portugal so much, it's a country I have actually (quite) recently discovered despite being neighbors, and it gives me so much inspiration with its colorful streets, iconic ceramic tiles, slopes and food.
Precisely, I was in such a creative rut just the weeks before this travel, I was totally done with Barcelona, fed-up with every corner and I couldn't find a single thing to stimulate my inspiration. Does that ever happened to you? I really don't like this feeling at all, because to me being a photographer (amateur or professional) means watching ordinary (meaning, daily) things/people/places but being eager to capture them with your own light. Since photography is usually my main creative outlet, I felt gloomier than usual and stuck in Barcelona.
Then, a few fidelity travel points helped us to impromptu plan a trip to Portugal and things turned 180º, every store front, house, street was interesting again! I guess I can be accused of cheating because, of course, when something is new it's super exhilarating, nonetheless, it felt like a bliss for us! The big amount of yummy food we ate also instantly put us in such a good mood. What can I say, our bellies regulate our feelings, ha!
Our trip actually started in Lisboa, but please allow us this license, forget about the chronological order (not you, Instagram, you need to bring it back ASAP *wink*) and let's start with the star of the north: Porto!
A little disclaimer first, we are going to post a full guide, in the following week or so, with things to do and places to eat if you are visiting Porto in 48h (like we did), so for now we are posting only our favorite pictures. Hope you enjoy it and don't forget to tell us in the comments which place/picture puts a broader smile in your face!
Welcome to our Porto Gallery!
Ceramic tiles
This dress was such a good travel choice, I loved that it was super comfy for the city walks but at the same time I felt cute and ready for a dinner date. The color makes it perfect for autumn, I also feel like this would look cute in a US road trip, right?
The dress is a gift but this is truly my own honest opinion, I wasn't requested to post anything about it :) not even a link
Colorful streets
The skirt being back with white dots is very versatile, I wore the skirt twice during this travel!
Ponte Dom Luis
Swoon
Stay tuned for the guide to spend 2 days in Porto like we did!
