Paris, nice to see you again my darling

Paris - The cat, you and us

If, like us, you need to daily check your Instagram you already may have noticed that we are visiting again for a second year in a row the lovely Paris! Booking this trip was a sudden rush, somehow it felt just right to repeat the exact same city at the exact same hotel for our second wedding anniversary. Although it may sound like uninspired it just felt good; we had been thinking about how to celebrate it and although several places and also some other plans in our city came up finally the heart wants what the heart wants. A delicious remake that we are dying to share with you, because although it is the same place it is never the same adventure!

Oh! Just realized with this former rambling that I’m not mentioning anything about the pictures. A few weeks ago we finally got back developed my LCA films I took while in Sintra and Wales and although the story need its own post (spoiler title: my film fiasco), I still had one of those pleasant surprises that only analogue reserves: the discovery of a few pictures I took while celebrating our first wedding anniversary in Paris. Yes, it took me 1 year to finish a roll; that it’s definitely something I would like to improve this year. There are only 2 photos because it rained and then when the sun was shining my camera bag was left in the hotel (that’s exactly me….), but more the reason for them to be my little treasure, I just love these little two!

awww, I love happy film surprises and especially if they are about Paris :)
You know what’s nice about forgotten film photos – they are even more special, so imagine the worth they’ll have in ten or twenty or thirty years time when you look through a photo album! Or just like your Uni photo!

I currently have about 5 rolls sitting in a variety of my toy cameras and I’m sure some are getting to the year old mark, I look forward to seeing what on earth are on them!

Sorry to hear though that there were possibly some non-fun film sagas too :( Digital is often the saver of the day in those cases but it’s always sad to have any film not go 100% to plan :(

Oh! 5 rolls! This would be so fun to discover their contents :) I will soon publish my summer fiasco, nevertheless I will keep on trying film because it is so rewarding (just need to check if my poor LCA is still working, oops :S)

I love how you two travel so regularly. These two pictures are stunning, I love how it feels a bit like they could’ve been taken 20 years ago, or even longer maybe. Paris is timeless. Happy anniversary!
