We are welcoming what is going to be the colder month of the year – forecast even predicts snow in Barcelona this week, wowzers!, we’ll keep you posted – wrapping up January through our phone snapshots, all taken during our shy adventures this past month.

We started the year at my mom’s hometown, whenever I am visiting I have lots of bitter-sweet feelings, but it’s kind of cute, isn’t it?

Back in Barcelona we went to an open air ice skating ring. It’s a pity that they are only open during Christmas shopping days.

Our favorite pizzas right now are from La Bella Napoli, addiction problem? We can’t resist their “ciao bambini” either ;)
January was a “shorter” month because we are lucky to extend Christmas time until the 7th with the Three Kings tradition celebrations. The best moment for all the kiddos (& grown-ups) is on the afternoon of the 5th of January when the Three Kings arrive to Barcelona (by boat, in case you were wondering) showing their gratitude by having a large magical & beautiful parade around the main streets. If you ever come to Barcelona on January please don’t miss the opportunity to experience it, the clothing, carriages & props are nothing short but extraordinary.

This month was also very blog centric, which is not a bad thing at all, on the contrary it was the excuse to do more things, step outside and forced us to delay the hibernation. Surely the highlight was our first blogger meeting with the dashing & lovely Deniz (from Photostorming) and her beau Türker: more to tell in a future post.
And of course I need to mention about the many movies we were able to watch this month. Thanks road-to-the-Oscars’ race for bringing us so many interesting flicks and thanks Three Kings for bringing from the far Orient the bluray of Frozen; I was waaay too excited to finally be able to watch (and sing, let’s be completely honest) it & have already become a hardcore team Anna member.

We received a package that swore that something inside was better than pizza (clever, right?). They were almost true because here came Dani’s kitty sweater from our last outfit session.

This month we started our Instax challenge, and I was able to pair two great things in this single snapshot, my fav dress & the Instax wide.

Putting down our Christmas decorations after mid January. But then we learnt that you can leave it without seeming too Christmas crazy gal until February. When do you usually put them down?

We took some pictures in Gracia & got the chance to eat at La Pepita. The staff were so incredible nice as well with us!

Two bloggers – 1 picture. Our full bellies after a tapas meal don’t luckily show thanks to our coats ;)

How was your January? Do you have any exciting plans for February? We do have some but that must be another post story.
Thanks for all the nice comments we received for the second edition of Catweek, we are very grateful for this lovely community. Would you like a third edition next year? Take it for granted!
Also last call for the Giveaway of the personalized Japanese calligraphy painting that started catweek, 2 days left but still plenty of opportunities to make the painting yours!
What a lovely month! Especially the extended Christmas days c:

Thanks Mei!!!! oh and yes, it’s my mom with the berry coat I got her two Christmas ago :) red/pink tones go well with her. ♥
sounds like such a lovely parade :) january and february are just really cold cold months but having so many doggie guests have made it more fun and made me be more active outside! it’s a good thing :)
Oh! Doggies definitely bring warm to these days :)
I always love seeing the little random, “didn’t fit anywhere else” snapshots at the end of the month. It’s a nice glimpse into your lives – and it seems like it was a fun (and photogenic!) month. I’m already excited for next year’s Cat Week. :)

Through the Thicket
Hahaha, that’s exactly what our title should be :) “They didn’t fit anywhere else” it really is the perfect definition for those snapshots, and they show a lot of what we have been up to in-between posts. Thanks Kathryn! ♥
So many fun happenings, many cheers for January! That parade looks so fun and you look so cute in your dress – eep! I just bought myself a typewriter and I’m totes going to steal that revamp idea, the pink colour and watermelon print is super adorable :) I love Dani’s sweater pizza box packaging too, aren’t people so clever! I feel 2015 has been so exciting, the possibilities are boundless for feb, I personally can’t wait!
What a great score the typewriter Fee! I’m sure you are able to revamp it into the loveliest piece and I really love the pink and watermelon pattern. Let’s hope this February is not only cold (here) but also awesome :)
oh! and again, thanks, I feel cute as a button with the dress :)
great pics. especially the first one!
We found the kiss mural by chance while going with my mom to have lunch. It’s made of little tiles each one (donated by lots of people) with a picture representing freedom. thanks!
ohh we are sweet in this picture :)
I can steal it from you <33
Oh! I would send you a bigger resolution version by mail :) How is everything back in Istanbul? It is freezing right now here in Barcelona, so you definitely picked a good week to come!
